Guggul, which originates from India, is an aromatically scented resin with a soft consistency and golden yellow colour. In India, Nepal and Tibet, guggul is one of the most important incense for spiritual purposes. It is the most important resin in Ayurveda and is considered a rejuvenating agent. When smoked, the resin develops a balsamic, somewhat sweet, almost cream-like smell that is vaguely reminiscent of myrrh.
